Quarante-Quatre

Using a recipe recommended by the Bride of COG, we made a Pacific Northwest batch of Quarante-Quatre. The COG Household bottling was harvested a few days ago; ours came due today.

It has a lovely orange color and scent; you don't taste the coffee as coffee, but as a sweet, dark undertone to a slightly bitter orange. I love it, and have drunk the glass shown in the photo, aside from tiny sips from the rest of the household. The FT (Former Texan) likes it, but I think I'm going to be able to enjoy most of the bottle on my own.
