Nothing quite irritates this blogger so much as going to her blog to write an entry after a busy several days, and finding a comment there telling her to hurry up or lose her readership.
Remember, we're on the west coast: it has been 87 hours since my last post and today is still only in its infancy (okay, I admit, it is starting pre-school). After a week of no posts -- yeah, that's worth a comment reminding me (and it is nice to know that you're still interested). But give us a break at crunch times, please?
Anyway, school started this week (and thus, PTA almost full time, and somehow having the kids out of the house has not freed up any time at all). And kids' soccer started, for two separate teams (Andrew is the coach of one and Anne is the coach, first time, of the other). And Mary Ellen is away at a family wedding. Anne, in addition to started her first coaching job and running a practice and a game for 6-7 year olds, is working 60-hour weeks. There are whole new routines to be learned by everyone in the family, and I'm sorry that posting to the blog fell off the map.
Maybe I should change the name to Cranky Middle-aged Catter. No photos. So there.

Well, gosh, je suis desolée, THIN-SKINNED, Cranky Middle-aged Catter....
In the blogosphere, a sense of humor is a great tonic. I have meant my "reader impatient" comments humorously, in fun, but evidently instead of being amusing to you, I've triggered your sense of...what...being harassed? Harried?
I am sorry for any irritation I have caused you, and, in the future, promise to abide by our mother's advice: "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all."
Of course, that creates a terrible dilemma for you because, now, if a post receives no comments...mmm, is it because we CAN'T say something nice? Is it because we are too busy? Omigod, what does the lack of response mean!?!!
It's a wicked place, the blogosphere.
