We first saw him only on Sunday, cleaning out the bowl of cat food at the Neighbor's porch. That was a flash of gold, jumping into the hedge at their house, chased by Tasha.
Today I interrupted him cleaning out the food bowls in the kitchen. (We leave doors open in the summer.) He raced away, but only until he was in a secure spot, behind the studio with a hole in the fence to freedom.
We gazed at each other for some time, but he didn't come closer. He looks pretty healthy. Perhaps someone new has moved into the neighborhood, who we don't know about yet. I hope so. We don't have a lot of space for a fifth cat.
But isn't he pretty?

I love him.
He's lovely. And Cattus Dommus is obviously a cat magnet.
And you are a really good cat photographer, Vivi. You capture something in them that's hard to do.
Thank you for the compliment. I just take about 5000 photos (thank god for digital cameras) and pick the one that turns out. And even then I have many sessions that don't produce even one. I didn't really get any good photos of Sheba, for instance.
