Committed.

Two weekends ago, when I was in Boise with the children and the other adults were here in Portland, FemmeDommi and The Texan went to Ikea and actually bought the cabinetry.  It was delivered the next day. There had been much angst about whether to rent a truck and pick up, or whether to pay for delivery, until it was delivered: 235 boxes and bags of items (we will do the assembly), weighing over 800 pounds.  We have organized and stacked and even assembled a couple of cabinets to see how it will go (eh. could be better, could be worse).  But until the room infrastructure is finished, the contents of the new kitchen are being held in the living room, alongside the contents of our temporary kitchen. (The new appliances will be delivered the day after tomorrow.)
