Autumn Walk

Today, Peaceable, Mr. Peaceable, Peaceable's dog P, and I, took our customary weekly two-hour walk.  We started doing this sometime mid-summer; usually, we simply take a 6ish mile loop direct from their house, down the east side of the Mississippi, across a bridge, up the west side of the Mississippi, across another bridge, and then back home. We finished just before sunset -- here is a view looking south during the "Golden Hour" COG talks about on his blog.

A couple of weeks ago, we shifted our walk to Fort Snelling State Park, walking the circumference of Pike Island -- which has the wonderful distinction of being the point of confluence of the Minnesota and Mississippi Rivers -- but that is flooded now, due to heavy rains south of us last week.  The Mississippi is high, too (there must have been rain to the north as well).
